Film It Friday: Strange Angels (Lili St. Crow)

 So.. I have finally resurrected my Film It Friday feature :) I have just been super busy lately and it be completely honest, I've been spending what very little free time I have, reading. I just haven't gotten around to picking out casts :)

But anyways, I've picked out a cast for the Strange Angels series by Lili St. Crow. Unfortunately, when it comes to the awesome character of Graves.. frankly, I am stumped. So, if anyone has any suggestions, I would love to hear them!

Anyways without further ado - here are the lucky chosen ones :)

Mr. Anderson (Jeffery Dean Morgan): Could it be anyone else? When I first read Strange Angels, I immediately thought of Jeffery (who will always be John Winchester to me). I mean come on. He has practice with the whole supernatural vibe and he totally has that tough guy yet loving father thing going on. Plus, I think he dies in like every movie/show he is in..except P.S. I Love You. Anyways, my vote is for Jeffery!

Dru Anderson (Kayla Ewell): Kayla seems like the perfect Dru in my opinion. I think she could pull off the whole tough chick thing and she is definitely pretty, but not in your face pretty. Dru is someone who doesn't give a crap about the way she looks - but yet still looks good. She has that whole girl next door thing going on, but this girl next door is also packing some heat. I think that Kayla could pull it off.

Christophe (Alex Pettyfer): Alex is Christophe. It is as simple as that - I honestly, can't think of anyone else who fits my vision of Christophe better.

Film it Friday: Firespell by Chloe Neill

So, guess what!? It is Friday again, so its time for another installment of Film it Friday. I haven't really had the time to do this feature the past couple weeks - I've been really bogged down with school work (stupid college! :D). But, I am going to try my best to publish this feature every week from now on, because it is so much fun to do!

This time around I chose to put together a cast for the book Firespell by Chole Neill (Chicagoland Vampire Series). The book was published in January of this year and was amazing. Book 2, Hexbound will be coming out in January of next year. Also if you haven't yet, check out my review of Firespell.

Alright, so I picked out actors to portray three of the main characters in Firespell, Lily, Jason and Michael. I just could not find someone for Scout. I think I had such a difficult time with her, because she was my favorite character and nobody seemed to fit the bill.

Jason Shepherd: (Lucas Till) So Jason is Lily's love interest in the book and is described as having dark blonde hair and blue/indigo/turquoise (basically some crazy shade of blue) eyes. He also apparently has long eyelashes and some killer dimples. I think Lucas would make a great Jason.


Lily Parker: (Selena Gomez) So, Lily is described as a girl of average height, with "dark hair and eye liner and fabulous fashion sense". I can see Selena as Lily, she is almost what I pictured her as. I have seen her on her show on Disney (I'll admit it) and I think she is actually pretty funny. I believe she could pull off the character of Lily, and I could totally see her rockin a Ramones T-shirt, flannel, a old pair of converse sneakers and those awesome vintage yellow boots we hear so much about!

Michael Garcia: (Tyler Posey) So, if any of you has seen Maid in Manhattan (yes, unfortunately, I did.. but I was about 12 when the movie came out), Tyler played Jennifer Lopez's little boy. Wasn't he adorable? I recently stumbled on a picture of him now, at 18. He looks exactly like my version of Michael. Michael is Scout's love interest and he is a very caring, compassionate character. Tyler looks like a genuinely nice guy, which is how I think of Michael.

Film It Friday: Siren by Tricia Rayburn

So, guess what!? It is Friday again, so its time for another installment of Film it Friday. This week, I chose to put together a cast for the book, Siren by Tricia Rayburn. The book debuted this summer and it was amazing! If you haven't read it yet, I suggest you do. I cannot wait for the next book in the series to come out next summer. Also if you haven't yet, check out my review of Siren.

Alright, so I picked out actors to portray three of the main characters in Siren, Vanessa, her sister Justine and her love interest, Simon.

Justine Sands: Ashley Greene. Justine is Vanessa's older sister. Vanessa idolizes Justine for her free spirit and fearless attitude. She often does reckless things; like cliff diving and takes care of her fearful younger sister, Vanessa. She is described as being very beautiful, with long dark hair. I think Ashley would make a marvelous Justine. She would easily pull off the adventurous attitude.

Simon Carmichael: Simon is Vanessa's love interest in the book. He is described as very tall and somewhat lanky. However, apparently, he has filled out a little more over the past year. He has got the whole "cool nerd" thing going on - he aspires to be a weatherman. He comes complete with adorable glasses. I chose Tom Sturridge for my Simon. I think he has just the right amount of nerdy and attractive and would look just smashing in a pair of glasses.

Vanessa Sands: Vanessa is our main character. She is Justine's younger sister and is known as somewhat of a wimp. She is frightened of practically everything. The tricky thing about Vanessa, is that she does not realize how beautiful she really is. She is described as a thin blonde girl, with gray eyes. I think that Sara Paxton would make a perfect Vanessa. She is a wonderful actress and could pull of the character beautifully. She is very beautiful, but can also pull off the girl next door vibe that comes with the character of Vanessa.

Film It Friday: Hush, Hush Series

So, it is Friday Again, which means it is time for another installment of "Film it Friday". Isn't this exciting? I know it is the best part of your day. That was me being sarcastic. Anyways, on with the show.

This time I have chosen to create a cast for the wildly popular Hush, Hush series by Becca Fitzpatrick. I had a hard time choosing this time, so I am going to give you two Patches and two Noras. Without further ado, here are my choices:

The one on the left is Ethan Peck. He portrayed Patrick on ABC late teen comedy, 10 Things I Hate About You. He is also Gregory Peck's grandson, which is just a fun little fact. The one of the right is Ben Barnes, who I know as Prince Caspian from the Chronicles of Narnia movies. I just couldn't decide between them. Next we have our ladies..

Alright, so for Vee Sky I chose Hayden Panettiere, I think she would make a great Vee. As for Nora, well the one on the left is Sarah Ramos. I know her as Patty Pryor on American Dreams, but she recently landed the role of Haddie on Parenthood, maybe you've seen her. The second choice is Emma Watson. I think she could pull it off, but I don't know if I could ever see her as anything other than Hermione.

Film it Friday: Gone Series by Michael Grant

So, I have decided to introduce a new weekly feature to the blog, called, Film it Friday. Every week I will post a movie cast that I have envisioned to portray a book or series. I will only do books that have not been made into movies yet, because that seems a bit like cheating. I will pick actors and actresses that portray my vision of the characters and I encourage all of you to tell me who you would pick to star in these "movies". Please keep in mind, my choices will not be perfect, this is just meant to be for fun!

For my first official "Film it Friday" I have chosen to create a cast for Michael Grant's Gone Series.

Sam Temple - Jeremy Sumpter

Alright, I know he is too old to be the Sam from the books. But, Hollywood does some weird things and they often make book characters different ages in the movies. I mean, look at Percy Jackson. In the book, he is what 12? In the movie, he is like 80. No, he's actually 17 I think, but you get the point. Honestly though, while I was reading I pictured Sam as Jeremy, he just seemed to fit the bill for me. 

Astrid Ellison - AnnaSophia Robb

When I was reading the first book in the series, my Astrid looked almost exactly like AnnaSophia. The strange thing is, I didn't really know who this girl was. I hadn't seen any of her movies, but I recently watched Race to Witch Mountain and I thought, "That's Astrid!". Isn't she perfect? She is exactly how I envisioned Astrid the Genius!

Lana Arwen Lazar - Emily Browning

Again, yes, she is a little old... but Emily Browning would make a great Lana. She is a wonderful actress and I think she could pull off all the drama that comes with the character.

Brianna "The Breeze" - Dakota Blue Richards

It took me a while to come up with someone for Brianna, but then I remembered Dakota from the Golden Compass movie. I wasn't exactly a fan of the movie, but I thought she did a great job. She isn't exactly what I pictured for Brianna, but she is close enough.

Diana Ladris - Lucy Hale

Lucy would be perfect as Diana! I think she is absolutely gorgeous and she could pull off the witchy attitude that comes with the character. I think she would make a great villain!

Orsay Pettijohn - Abigail Breslin 

I think Abigail would make a wonderful Orsay. She is almost what I pictured and I can absolutely she her roughing it in the woods for 3 months.

Well, that is the part of the cast that I chose. I know it is seriously lacking with the male characters, but it is hard to find young teenage male actors, there are plenty of girls to choose from, though, as you can see. What are some actors you would use for Quinn, Caine or even Orc? How about Edilio or Albert? I couldn't come up with anything, can you?
