Today's theme is Top Ten Dynamic Duos (those bffs, partners in crimes, or powerful couples that you just can't forget about)
This reminds me of a post I did a while ago - My Top 5 Potential BFF's in Speculative Fiction... there are certainly some crossovers :)
Anyways, Here is my top 10 list - in no particular order; it was hard enough narrowing it down to 10, I could never actually rank them :)
1. Lizzie & Darcy (Pride & Prejudice - Jane Austen)
Oh, come on. Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy are, without a doubt, the most famous couple (well, besides Romeo + Juliet - who I find much too depressing) in history. Everyone knows who these two are. They are so perfect together, it just about makes me sick :)
2. Chloe & Derek (The Darkest Powers Trilogy - Kelley Armstrong)
Chloe Saunders & Derek Souza are one of my favorite couples of all time. I have a confession, I totally reread a bunch of their scenes all the time. I have my favorites - I particularly love when they get stranded at the bus stop in The Awakening. Oh and I know I went crazy with the images, but I couldn't pick just one. You can click on the images for a bigger picture :)
I kind of commandeered these drawings from fanpop - I don't know where the first one came from originally, but the second was done by Anne-Marie @ Sweetnpepper.blogspot.com
The last two are by Bianca Siercke.
3. Shane & Claire / Shane, Claire, Michael & Eve (The Morganville Vampires - Rachel Caine)
Claire and Shane, Shane and Claire... oh how I love them together. They bring out such wonderful parts of each other and they actually stay together - shocking I know! They aren't petty or childish with their relationship and they are just so much fun. Now, I also have to give a shout out to the group as a whole - Claire, Shane, Michael and Eve. I know they aren't really a dynamic duo.. but their friendship is just so awesome. They have been through a lot together and they are always there for one another.
4. Gin & Finn (Elemental Assassin Series - Jennifer Estep)
So, I am all for the Gin + Owen pairing, but Gin and Finn the dynamic duo of the series. They are truly partners in crime and siblings at heart. They would do absolutely anything for one another, no matter the cost. I freaking love them and if anything ever happens to jeopardize their relationship, I may just die. Well, I won't die, but you better believe I will bawl my eyes out.
5. Chess & Terrible (Downside Ghosts - Stacia Kane)
I don't think you understand just how much I love these two together. They are both so flawed and jaded, but together they just work. They both have versions of themselves that you only see when they are together - Chess becomes a sap and Terrible is just so sweet :)
6. Jeff & Kitty (Katherine "Kitty" Katt Series - Gini Koch)
I don't really have to explain this to you, do I? I mean Jeff & Kitty are just pure awesomeness. I love their chemistry and their banter - I could read Jeff & Kitty books all day long.
7. Anna & St. Clair (Anna and the French Kiss - Stephanie Perkins)
they are perfect. End of story :)
8. Annabeth & Percy (Percy Jackson series - Rick Riordan)
Annabeth and Percy are the perfect friends - they balance each other out beautifully. Where he is impulsive and passionate, she is calculating and collected. They depend on and trust one another and get each other out of the worst scrapes.
9. Harry, Hermione & Ron (Harry Potter - J.K. Rowling)
Alright, I know, they are not a duo. So sue me. How could you have any sort of friendship list without these three? I am not even going to try and justify this one - it's a given.
10. Scout & Lily (Dark Elite series - Chloe Neill)
Scout and Lily will be BFF's forever - at least I hope so. The are always their for one another and they trust each other explicitly. They have a great friendship; they are always bantering back and forth and making each other smile. I wish I could be friends with these two :)
