Tune in Tuesday {022}

Tune in Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Ginger at GReads. It's a fun way to share your favorite music with other bloggers and hopefully introduce them to so truly kickin' tunes :)

Kitten - Kill The Light

Favorite Line:  He only said I'm gonna love you til I'm crazy, I'm gonna love you till I'm dead

I'd like to give a big thank you to Pandora for knowing me oh so well.

Caitlin Crosby & Jay Nash - Wooden Ships

Favorite Line: We're just wooden ships out in the blue. So close to shore but we never knew. But it my heart I know it's true, it's time for me to say goodbye to you.

So, I've had a few Caitlin Crosby songs for a while. I've always liked Still Have My Heart and I few others, but I didn't love her. But... then she put out this EP with Jay Nash. And... I loved it. I've had it for months now, and I still listen to it on a regular basis :)

Lightyear - When You're Alone

Favorite Line: What do you do when you're alone? Do you put records on and dance around your room? Does your loneliness move with you?  Do you think of me?

Okay. So I really do love this song, but does it remind anyone else of the song "Home is in Your Heart" from the Care Bears movie? I can't help it. It always pops in my head when I hear the Lightyear song.

Ingrid Michaelson / Gotye - Somebody That I Used To Know

Favorite Line: You can get addicted to a certain kind of sadness //And I don't want to live that way, reading into every word you say. You said that you could let it go, and I wouldn't catch you hung up on somebody that you used to know

Alright guys, which version do you like better? Because I don't know. There is so much awesomeness happening right now that I can't even deal with it.

Kimbra - Good Intent

Favorite Line:  It's not enough to say, it's not what's in your heart. You've tainted every moment till death do we part

I love everything about this. EVERYTHING.

Javier Dunn - Animal

Favorite Line: In your eyes I see the eyes of somebody I knew before, long ago. But I'm still trying to make my mind up - am I free or am I tied up?

So this is a Miike Snow cover. I just have to say, that I like Javier's version better. Way better.

The Bridges - Blue

Favorite Line: You think our hearts are ready to push the limits of the sky. I think the wind will blow us out of proportion if we try // There is a world of difference; you’ve got someone to grow on.

I had the worst time picking a song to use for this Band. I LOVE The Bridges. I've used them once before on Tune in Tuesday; when I did my post on the Top 25 Most Played Songs in Itunes - that time it was their song Nice & Easy. This time, I decided to go with Blue. It is off their debut album, Limits of the Sky. I've had this CD for a few years now and I still listen to it all the time. It's so incredibly catchy that it never really gets old.

Damien Rice - Rat Within the Grain

Favorite Line: I wouldn't want you to want to be wanted by me. I wouldn't want you to worry you'd be drowned within my sea. I only wanted to be wonderful and wonderful is true. In truth I only really wanted to be wanted by you

Oh, Damien Rice... I love you. I love every song he has ever made. Have you heard that crazy good cover of When Doves Cry/Babe I'm Gonna Leave You? I would have went with that this week, but youtube doesn't want anyone to upload it. I about fell over when I heard it. One of my favorite singers singing my favorite Price Song & my favorite Zeppelin song? I died.

I have spent ENTIRELY too much time listening to all these songs, Sarah! Lol. But Ingrid Michaelson and Damien Rice...great picks! I have to say I prefer Ingrid's version to Gotye, though that one isn't bad either!

By the way, Kimbra is new to me, but I LOVE THAT SONG!!! And the music video, which is pretty awesome as well!

Yikes. I haven't heard of any of these song artists. I think I must be getting too old. I'll check some out.
