Tune in Tuesday {019}

Tune in Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Ginger at GReads. It's a fun way to share your favorite music with other bloggers and hopefully introduce them to so truly kickin' tunes :)

Well, I've had a busy couple of weeks - finals were last week. So... I've been absent for Tune in Tuesday. What this means for you, is that I've got a whole bunch of songs to share this time around :)

Winterpark - Never Alone

favorite line: I'll watch you bleed me dry

I couldn't decide if I wanted to use Never Alone  or One Night Alone. They are both beautiful. But I finally decided on Never Alone. It just... gets to me. 

Ingrid Michaelson - Spare Change

Favorite Line: Save your smile for everybody else you see, 'cause I don't want the one that you make for me

 

As you probably already know, I love Ingrid. I was browsing through emusic the other day and I saw this single. Apparently it's an older song, but I hadn't heard it before. Isn't it lovely?

 

Ryan Horne - Terrible Tommy

 

Favorite Line: I was born into this family, I was born the devil’s son

 

So, I have a recent obsession. I've fallen in love with Sons of Anarchy. Please don't spoil it, I've only gotten through the first two seasons (whats posted on netflix) and it's just sooo good. Plus, the music is absurdly good. I've downloaded so many songs from the show, but Terrible Tommy is one of my favorites. 

 

 

 

The Black Keys - Sister 

 

Favorite Line: I used to say I need you, but now I gotta leave you

 

 

I love the new album. It's crazy good, as always. P.S. they are coming to Michigan in March... and I am going to be there. I'm swearing to it right now.

 

 

The Lumineers - Ho Hey

 

Favorite Line: I belong with you, you belong with me. You're my sweetheart. // I don't think you're right for him. Look at what might of been.

 

I heard this song a few weeks ago on the midseason finale of Hart of Dixie. I immediately fell in love with it and  just had to have it. When I finally tracked down the band, I couldn't find a way to purchase the song... but then a lovely person on youtube put it up. And... I downloaded it. It's wrong, I know.. but I really NEEDED the song. Isn't it wonderful? I also have their song, Elouise. It's amazing too. I cannot wait for their new album to drop.

 

The Pretty Reckless - You

Favorite Line: You can't feel me, no, like I feel you. I  can't steal you, like you stole me.

 

I don't know if you know this.. but Little J can sing. I've had a few Pretty Reckless songs for a while now, but I just recently purchased the whole album... and it's actually really good. I'll admit it, I was surprised, but I love it :)

 

 

Sufjan Stevens - For the Widows in Paradise, For the Fatherless in Ypsilanti 

Favorite Line: If there's anything to say, If there's anything to do. If there's any other way - I'd do anything for you.

So, I've had this album for a long, long time. I've been a fan of Sufjan for years and of course Greetings From Michigan was the first CD of his I ever bought (Yay Michigan!). I believe I was still in Middle School at the time.. wow. That's crazy. But back to the point, For the Widows... is my favorite song off the album. It is quite possibly my favorite song of his ever. I was rather ashamed when I realized that I hadn't shared it with you guys yet.
