Tune in Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Ginger at GReads. It's a fun way to share your favorite music with other bloggers and hopefully introduce them to so truly kickin' tunes :)
So guys, my best friend and music soul sister has recently lost her ENTIRE MUSIC LIBRARY. So, of course, she asked the music fairy (that would be me…) to send her some kickass tunes. So for the past few days I’ve been combing my itunes library and I’ve rediscovered some fabulous songs. I went a bit over board with operation help-me-i-have-no-music.. I sent upwards of 500 songs J but that’s perfect really, because now I get to share some favorites with you. I think we all have songs like this – ones that we love, but for some reason or another, they seem to fall off our radar. Or maybe we still remember them, but they get eclipsed by other songs. At any rate, I’ve picked some tunes for you guys this week
1. Temper Trap – Fader
Favorite Line: Talk don’t change a thing…
It's kind of my jam, folks.
2. Walk the Moon – Anna Sun
Favorite Line: we got no money, but we got heart. We're gonna rattle this ghost town
This song is pure summer. P.S. You’ve GOT TO watch their acoustic version of this – they completely kill it. Or as a certain AI judge could say they knock it out the park.
3. Emiliana Torrini - Hold Heart
Favorite Line: No lips, don’t make a sound – don’t let him hear the break in your voice…
So beautiful...
4. Snow Patrol – Set Down Your Glass
Favorite Line: You say you’ll sew me good as new and I know you will
I am going to walk down the aisle to this. True story.
5. Josh Ritter –Golden Age of Radio
Favorite Line: I swear that we’re the last living souls in a populated ghost town.
I couldn’t find the studio version on youtube, but this live one is pretty fabulous. You should check out the studio one though, it just swells. You know what I mean?
6. Andrew Belle (feat. Erin McCarley) – In my Veins
Favorite Line: Nobody is perfect, oh but everyone’s to blame.
I have a slight obsession with Andrew Belle, but I especially love his duet work. And In My Veins is my favorite track of his – it’s just so raw and haunting.
7. Laura Marling - Night Terror
Favorite Line: And whisper "if they want you, Oh they're gonna have to fight me" Oh fight me
For the longest time my favorite song by Marling was New Romantic. I mean, homegirl name drops Ryan Adams. Awesome? yes. But there is something so lovely about Night Terror... in a haunting way that is.

Thanks for the music recommendations! You've got great taste. I especially like the two no.3s - Set Down Your Glass and Hold Heart. :)

Ok.. you need to get out of my music head!! haha Seriously though, two of these bands/artists I recently discovered because their music was featured on The Vampire Diaries. I made myself a playlist on spotify to keep track of this season's songs from the show. Both Walk the Moon and Andrew Belle were on there!
There isnt a Snow Patrol song out there that I dont love <3
I totally squeed when I saw Laura Marling. I did a post on her new albums release day where I completely fangirl over her haha! :)
Loved all your other songs and I can relate to your friend. My mp3 broke about a month after our computer broke so bye bye 3yrs worth of downloads. Luckily I still buy albums (as does my sister) so that was ok but its all the odds & ends I'm missing. I plan to build it back up eventually though ;-)
Oh my word, I love Andrew Belle. He's my lover... he just doesn't know it yet. lol I adore your picks! Thanks!
Laura Marling - Night Terror
oooh, i'm loving all these songs.. I have some snow patrol stuff, but not that one! New to this Tune in Tuesday.. and already I have a list of new music to download. Yay!
Thanks for this! Emiliana Torrini's "Jungle Drum" is one of my number one favourite love songs, and I'm so glad to have come across another song of hers here! :D
Loved the Laura Marling song, great pick!
