Waiting on Wednesday is hosting by Jill at Breaking the Spine.
Alright, so this is one of those books that I would never have the guts to buy in the store. That cover just embarrasses me - I guarantee I would turn as red as a tomato. The only way I could get away with it, would be if I bought it at Meijer and used a self-checkout. That being said, I am dying to read this! I may just have to get it shipped to me from amazon, because it sounds awesome :) Oh and BTW, I went to school with a girl named Ellen Connor, but I seriously doubt it's this Ellen Connor. I think my head would explode if she was secretly writing paranormal/post-apocalyptic romances.
Book: Nightfall (Dark Age Dawning #1) - Ellen Connor
Release Date: June 6th, 2011
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Publisher: Berkley
Description: First in a stunning new post-apocalyptic paranormal romance trilogy.
Growing up with an unstable, often absent father who preached about the end of the world, Jenna never thought in her wildest nightmares that his predictions would come true. Or that he would have a plan in place to save her-one that includes the strong, stoic man who kidnaps and takes her to a remote cabin in the Pacific Northwest.
The mysterious ex-Marine named Mason owes a life-debt to Jenna's father. Skilled and steadfast, he's ready for the prophesied Change, but Jenna proves tough to convince. Until the power grid collapses and mutant dogs attack-vicious things that reek of nature gone wrong.
When five strangers appear, desperate to escape the bloodthirsty packs, Jenna defies her protector and rescues them. As technology fails and the old world falls away, Jenna changes too, forever altered by supernatural forces. To fight for their future, she and Mason must learn to trust their instinctive passion-a flame that will see them through the bitter winter, the endless nights, and the violence of a new Dark Age.

LOL I can't imagine myself buying a book with that cover too. But that's because I'm not really into Paranormal Romance. :)

LOL Chel - I'd buy the book BECAUSE of the cover :) I'm completely addicted to paranormal romance. Those delicious semi dressed men are a definite benefit to reading them *grins*
You can find my WOW here - The Bookish Snob
Haha! I usually solve that problem by purchasing an e-book copy of it. The cover is embarassing but the summary sounds awesome! Thanks for brining this to my attention!
My WOW
Despite the cover it actually sounds pretty good. I might have to get it when it comes out.

Not my choice in reading, but the summary does sound good. Good choice!
See that's the thing thats good about e-book readers - no cover showing! LOL
I agree - cheesy cover, but the story sounds great. I'm sucker for a good end-of-the-world story.
Here's my WOW for this week.
Fascinating...hope you enjoy it when it comes in its "plain brown wrapper"...LOL
Here's MY WOW POST
Whoa! Nice cover! Sounds really interesting too! I hope you enjoy it!
Sounds good, that is something I would read if I liked romance books.
Great pick! This sounds really good. Who cares about the cover though. I'd actually enjoy looking at the cover while reading it but I buy most of my books for my kindle anyway so nobody can ever tell what I'm reading- unless they ask me. I will read just about anything as long as it has romance somewhere in it:)
Here is my WOW
