Waiting on Wednesday: City of Fallen Angels & Betrayal

Waiting on Wednesday is a Weekly Meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine

Book: City of Fallen Angels (Mortal Instruments #4) by Cassandra Clare
Release Date: April 5th, 2011
Genre: Young Adult / Fantasy
Description from Goodreads: City of Fallen Angels is the fourth book in the bestselling series The Mortal Instruments.

“Love, blood, betrayal and revenge — the stakes are higher than ever in City of Fallen Angels. Simon Lewis is having some trouble adjusting to his new life as a vampire, especially now that he hardly sees his best friend Clary, who is caught up in training to be a Shadowhunter—and spending time with her new boyfriend Jace. Not to mention that Simon doesn’t quite know how to handle the pressure of not-quite-dating two girls at once. What’s a daylight-loving vampire to do? Simon decides he needs a break and heads out of the city—only to discover that sinister events are following him. Realizing that the war they thought they’d won might not yet be over, Simon has to call on his Shadowhunter friends to save the day — if they can put their own splintering relationships on hold long enough to rise to the challenge.”

Who isn't waiting on this one!? I kind of figured that everyone and their brother who have this as there WOW, since the cover was just released, so I went ahead and picked out another title as well. That way you guys get some variety :)

Book: Betrayal (Haunting Emma #2) - Lee Nichols
Release Date: March 1st, 2011
Genre: Young Adult / Paranormal
Description from Goodreads: Emma Vaile is the most powerful ghostkeeper in centuries. Which is great when she's battling the wraith-master Neos, but terrible when she's flirting with fellow ghostkeeper (and soul mate) Bennett. When ghostkeepers fall in love, the weaker one loses all power, and that's not something Bennett can handle. Heartbroken and alone, Emma tries to lose herself in school with fellow ghostkeeper, Natalie. When a new team of ghostkeepers arrive—one a snarky teen
boy, the other a British scholar—Emma finds solace in training for the battle against Neos. But as the team grows stronger, they are threatened by an unknown force. One they thought was good.
As chilling and page-turning as Deception, this sequel will grab readers and hold them to the last page. No one is safe from suspicion as Emma closes in on the traitor.
I loved the first Haunting Emma book, Deception, so hopefully Betrayal will be just as good. If you haven't checked out this series yet - now is a great time to start!

I have not read the Mortal Instruments yet, but it looks like I am going to have to! Doesn't that girl on Betrayal cover look like Reese Witherspoon from Fear?
